Impact Moore is an impressive scorer. At 6-foot-7, he requires size to guard, but he's also capable of scoring from anywhere on the court. Last season, Moore only attempted 2.0 threes per game but he still hit 41 percent of his shots from deep. If he can remotely continue that level of long-range shooting - and his 3-of-5 night indicates he can - Moore should evolve into the Sooners' top scorer.

Impact Oklahoma's 2024-25 team is expected to begin its regular season Monday. However, the matchup may not include Jones, who is trying to recover from a tweaked back. OU's head coach Porter Moser said he "doubts" his Long Beach State transfer will be available Monday. That would mean Moser must find a likely replacement for Jones in the Sooners' starting lineup, considering he was part of their primary perimeter players for multiple scrimmages during preseason.

Sam Godwin - Available against Lindenwood Godwin (concussion) will be available for Oklahoma's game Monday against Lindenwood, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Earlier in November, it was announced that Godwin was expected to be available Monday, so him being ready then should not be surprising. As a regular starter for Oklahoma's 2023-24 team, he averaged 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds across his 31 games started. Even though Godwin's field goal percentage then was a career low, he still shot almost 60 percent (59.8 to be exact) and achieved career highs through both his aforementioned rates in points and rebounds.

Impact When asked about Godwin's status, head coach Porter Moser said that "if all goes well" Godwin will return to practice Sunday and suit up Monday against Lindenwood. The 6-foot-10 senior started in 31 games with the Sooners last season, averaging 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.5 blocks on 18.7 minutes per game. If Godwin encounters any setbacks that prevent him from suiting up, his next opportunity to return would come against Northwestern State on Nov. 11.

Impact Back on July 21, Bob Przybylo of On3 announced that Nwankwo would sit out Oklahoma's 2024-25 season after tearing his Achilles during summer workouts. Fast forward three months later, and OU's head coach Porter Moser is unwilling to rule out his injured transfer for the whole campaign just yet. This is because the HC wants to know how many games Nwankwo can play and still qualify for a medical redshirt. What is certain is the junior will sit out seven games Oklahoma's team is expected to play during November 2024. And close to sure, even though there is at least a slight possibility Nwankwo can participate in OU's 2024-25 season, he will not play enough to justify a roster spot or draft selection on fantasy teams.
