Tanner Groves - Plays 11 minutes in blowout lossGroves fouled out of Saturday's 93-61 loss to West Virginia after recording two points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 11 minutes.
ImpactGroves logged his season low for minutes of any game this season. This was also his first game without converting a single field-goal attempt all season, though it's likely not putting too much stock in the individual player results from this massive blowout loss. Groves is still averaging 9.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season, which should make him one of the Sooners' best fantasy players for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.

Joe Bamisile - Plays 19 minutes in blowoutBamisile produced 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound, one block and one steal over 19 minutes during Saturday's 93-61 loss to West Virginia.
ImpactBamisile tied his season high for minutes played in any game this season. This was also his first time playing more than seven minutes since the Dec. 10 loss to Arkansas. Bamisile did miss nine of the previous 11 games due to an undisclosed injury, though it's still unlikely he'll see much more significant playing time moving forward outside of games with large margins of victory or loss.

Jacob Groves - Relegated to the benchGroves registered three points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one assist over 13 minutes during Saturday's 93-61 loss to West Virginia.
ImpactGroves came off the bench for the first time this season. This didn't come as much of a suprise, as the 6-foot-9 senior had already seen a significant downturn in his minutes per game over the previous four contests (13.5). Groves also averaged just 1.3 points and 2.5 rebounds during that span, so it appears he could likely be replaced by sophomore guard Bijan Cortes in the permanent starting rotation moving forward. The Sooners' next game will come Wednesday at No. 11 Baylor.

Kedrian Johnson - Breaks double-digit pointsJohnson ended Saturday's 93-61 win over Oklahoma with 16 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 33 minutes.
ImpactJohnson scored in double figures for the first time in the past four West Virginia games. The senior guard had taken a very moderate 3.3 field-goal attempts per contest over the previous three games, but he reprised his usual scoring role Saturday by logging almost his exact average for field-goal attempts per game (6.7). Johnson has also averaged 5.1 free-throw attempts per game while shooting 83.2 percent from the charity stripe, which provides a solid floor to his largely consistent scoring average this season (10.1).

Erik Stevenson - Posts new career high in pointsStevenson logged 34 points (13-23 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Saturday's 93-61 win over Oklahoma.
ImpactStevenson let it loose in this massive blowout, taking a season high for field-goal attempts. As a result, the 6-foot-4 sharpshooter broke his previous season high for scoring (31) set against Auburn on Jan. 28. Stevenson has by far been West Virginia's most explosive scorer this season, averaging 14.9 points while converting 45.1 percent of is 11.6 field-goal tries per game and 38.3 percent of his 5.2 tires from beyond the arc. The three-time transfer player has also averaged 24.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists across the last four games.

James Okonkwo - Double-double in blowoutOkonkwo closed with 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block across 14 minutes during Saturday's 93-61 victory over Oklahoma.
ImpactOkonkwo posted the first double-double of his short career despite playing just 14 minutes. This was also the 6-foot-8 sophomore's second game with double-digit rebounds this season, which was likely due to an increased number of opportunities given the extreme runaway nature of this game. His four field-goal attempts were also his second most of any game this season, so it's not worth putting much stock in this outlier performance for Okonkwo.
