Ben Stanley - Sits out SaturdayStanley (knee) did not take the court in Saturday's 74-63 victory over Appalacian State.
ImpactStanley had to be helped off the court just two days earlier, so it wasn't too surprising to see the senior sit this one out. The Monarchs pulled off the victory in his stead, with fellow upperclassman frontcourt player Mekhi Long logging 17 points and 12 boards across 38 minutes. Stanley's next chance to see the court will be Wednesday against Southern Miss.

Imo Essien - Sidelined SaturdayEssien (concussion) was held out of Saturday's 74-63 victory over Appalachian State.
ImpactAccording to Marc Davis of WTKR News 3, Essien took an elbow to the head in the second half of Thursday's loss to James Madison. He was then evaluated for a concussion, which is likely why he was limited to just 12 minutes in the contest. Essien handles the bulk of the ball-handling for the Monarchs despite coming off the bench, but it's unclear if he'll be cleared on time for Wednesday's matchup against Southern Mississippi.
