Injured in second half Lopez suffered a lower leg injury Sunday against Providence after appearing to bang knees with an opposing player, 247 Sports reports. Impact Lopez started for the second time in DePaul's delayed season, but was limited to just 18 minutes despite the contest seeing double overtime. It appears an injury was to blame, as multiple accounts report the sophomore guard being spotted with crutches later on in the contest. This clearly puts his status for Wednesday's Big East matchup against UConn in jeopardy. DePaul did get back both Romeo Weems and Darious Hall for this contest, however, so it seems likely Weems would enter the starting lineup in his stead. Weems' 34 minutes played were more than three separate DePaul starters.
