Returns in emphatic fashion Tshiebwe (knee) finished with 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-4 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 34 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 86-77 2OT loss to Michigan State... Impact Tshiebwe came off the bench in his 2022-23 season debut, but the double-OT nature of Tuesday's affair meant he essentially ended up logging a full night at the office. He turned that into a vintage performance -- one that was typical of his Wooden Award-winning campaign a season ago. On top of the regular bruising around the basket, Tshiebwe also showed off a bit of a mid-range game, which can only go over well with NBA scouts. Most importantly, however, Tshiebwe looks to be fully back from the knee issue that limited him early. Coach John Calipari may not need to give him a full workload Thursday against South Carolina State, as the Wildcats draw Gonzaga the following Sunday, and Tshiebwe will be needed at 100 percent to defend Drew Timme in the post.
