GAME LOG

Shut out against Nebraska Freeman ended with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-2 FT) and four rebounds in 16 minutes during Sunday's 71-50 loss to Nebraska.
Impact Freeman was seemingly starting to turn a corner offensively with back-to-back outings of 14 points, but he was shut out Sunday in a rivalry game, attempting just one shot. Foul trouble wasn't even to blame here, while backup Isaac Traudt ended up seeing 21 minutes. Creighton is now off to a 5-4 start and appears to be at risk of falling out of the NCAA Tournament conversation for the first time since 2018-19, and Freeman -- the team's prize transfer portal aquisition -- has done little to help the cause.

Scores 14 versus Nicholls Freeman finished Tuesday's 96-76 win over Nicholls with 14 points (7-8 FG), four rebounds and two blocks in 15 minutes.
Impact Freeman scored a very efficient 14 points Tuesday, hitting seven of his eight shots from the field. He also blocked two shots for just the second time this season. He only played 15 minutes in the blowout win though, and he has only played over 20 minutes twice through eight games this season. Although he has been productive so far this season, his lack of big minutes hurts his ceiling.

Struggles against Baylor Freeman produced four points (2-4 FG), one rebound and one steal in nine minutes during Monday's 81-74 loss to Baylor.
Impact Freeman made his fourth consecutive start for the Bluejays, but he still appears to be finding his rhythm after offseason knee surgery kept him off the court for an extended period of time. He also struggled to box out in this one, and coach Greg McDermott was forced to pull him from the game and chew him out a bit on the sidelines. For most of the remainder of the contest, Jasen Green ended up taking over at center in a small-ball lineup. Considering what was presumably a large NIL deal that Freeman received to transfer to Creighton, the team won't be giving up on him just yet, but he'll need to show better hustle and efficiency if he's going to continue to play a big role. Creighton gets a quick turnaround, drawing Iowa State in the Players Era Festival on Tuesday afternoon.
NOVEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
Productive in Wednesday's win Freeman ended Wednesday's 75-60 win over North Dakota with 13 points (6-6 FG, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks and three steals across 21 minutes.
Impact Freeman made his third straight start Wednesday and put together a good performance across the board. He hit all six of his shots from the field to score 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds (five offensive) in his second straight game. He also was excellent on the defensive end, setting season highs in steals (three) and blocks (three). He faces a more difficult test Monday at Baylor.

Impact Freeman had been managing an offseason knee injury that limited his practice and exhibition reps with his new team, and he wasn't in the starting lineup for the Creighton opener Wednesday night. He was still able to be the most impactful scorer as a reserve and attempted the second most shots among all Bluejays players. That's an excellent sign for the junior forward, who will have to play a key role in next Tuesday's road matchup against a talented Gonzaga frontcourt led by Graham Ike and Braden Huff.
NOVEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Short run in exhibition Freeman (knee) started and logged six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and a steal across 13 minutes in Saturday's 76-64 exhibition victory over Colorado State.
Impact Freeman spent most of the offseason rehabbing a knee injury, and while he was back to practice by mid-October, he sat out an Oct. 17 exhibition against Iowa State. The Iowa transfer is expected to take over as the starting center for the Bluejays, filling big shoes left by Ryan Kalkbrenner (19.2 ppg, 8.7 rpg). While he was relatively limited in Saturday's exhibition, and showed a little bit of rust (three turnovers), it was nonetheless a positive sign that he should be ready for Wednesday's season opener against South Dakota. If Freeman's minutes are limited in any way, however, Isaac Traudt would be the logical candidate to take on extra post minutes.
OCTOBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Tracking to play in exhibition Freeman (knee) will play in Saturday's exhibition game against Colorado State, barring a setback, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Freeman picked up a knee injury this Summer, and despite missing a significant portion of practice this fall, he's on track to appear in Saturday's exhibition and be ready to go for the regular season. Freeman averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season at Iowa.
OCTOBER 24 • ROTOWIRE
Participating in parts of practice Freeman (knee) has not been fully cleared for all basketball related activities but is participating in parts of practice per head coach Greg McDermott, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports...
Impact Freeman remains out for the most part due to his knee injury, but his involvement in some parts of practice bodes well for a soon return to the court. The Iowa transfer likely won't play in Friday's exhibition match against Iowa State, but he could start ramping up his availability more in the coming week. He averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds on 26.5 minutes per game last season.
OCTOBER 12 • ROTOWIRE
Still out three-to-four weeks Freeman (knee) will not be cleared for another three-to-four weeks, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact September will finish with bad news involving Freeman's injured knee, still yet to make significant progress since August and due for at least several weeks of rehab. The junior's updated timeline indicates he will sit out the first of Creighton's two October exhibitions, Oct. 17 against Iowa State and Oct. 25 against Colorado State. Freeman will shift his focus to the CSU game, though there is definitely a chance he sits out, giving him no in-game preparation before the 2025-26 Bluejays begin their regular season Nov. 5 against South Dakota.
SEPTEMBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Will miss start of practice Freeman (knee) will miss the official start of Creighton's practice in late-September, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Unfortunately for Freeman, he will likely need another six weeks to get clearance from his knee injury. Because of it, he is not expected to be fully healthy before Creighton's updated team begins its preparation for the upcoming season. At the very least, Freeman will still have more than a month before the campaign officially begins.
AUGUST 26 • ROTOWIRE
Out four-to-six weeks but probable Freeman (knee) is out four-to-six weeks but should be ready by September, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Freeman's 2024-25 season ended because of a finger injury, which no longer seems to be a problem. However, a new injury will continue to render him out of action. But with a September return date, Freeman would be available more than a month before Creighton's 2025-26 campaign commences.
