Will miss 2022-23 season Fox (knee) will miss the upcoming season after injuring his right knee in practice, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact This is a devastating injury for the big man, who missed all of the 2021-2022 season with a left knee injury. Fox was buried on the depth chart for the upcoming campaign but still figured to at least see the court, as he hasn't logged any playing time yet in the Twin Cities. Impact Even though Minnesota has been struggling badly for depth in the interior, the team will still take a cautious approach with Fox, who is now on the back end of his original recovery timetable. Fox was a tremendous scorer and rebounder at the D-II level, but with the Gophers sitting at 2-7 in Big Ten play, there's no reason for first-year head coach Ben Johnson to rush him back. Nonetheless, it's a discussion that Fox and the team will at least have, and it's possible he could keep his eligibility if he does not appear in the minimum allotment of games.
