Impact Shrewsberry said Dread's surgery addressed a "pretty significant" shoulder injury, which suggests that the rising fifth-year senior may not be a lock to be ready to go for the start of the regular season. Dread has progressed to non-contact drills at this point in the summer, but he'll still have several more hurdles to clear in the rehab process. In his fourth season with the Nittany Lions in 2021-22, the 6-foot-4 wing started in 20 of his 31 appearances and averaged 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 26.9 minutes per contest.
