ImpactThe return of Dawson Garcia (ankle) meant Payne was demoted to a substitute option Saturday. Even so, he had the game of his freshman career so far. Payne logged a double-double and recorded more than five assists for the first time as a Gopher. The future could be bright for him, but it is expected to continue being limited while Garcia can play.
