Jeremiah Williams - Sues for immediate reinstatementWilliams filed a lawsuit against the NCAA Thursday seeking an injunction to become immediately eligible, Jerry Carino of the Asbury Park Press reports.ImpactWilliams is hoping to be eligible for Saturday's game at Michigan after filing a lawsuit against the NCAA. Williams has sat out 20 games this season while awaiting a ruling on his violation of the NCAA's gambling policy. The NCAA handed down its ruling Wednesday, suspending Williams for 15 games which would take Williams out for the rest of the season. Williams' complaint contends he "has sat out all twenty games Rutgers has played this year, the last five while waiting for the NCAA to formally impose the suspension it imposed last evening. He is therefore now eligible to begin playing basketball for Rutgers." The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey.
