Leads way in exhibition game Haggerty had a team-high 24 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds and three assists in Tuesday's exhibition game against North Carolina. Impact Haggerty did his best to beat a talented UNC squad, but it just wasn't enough as fellow backcourt guard Tyrese Hunter and Colby Rogers both struggled from the field. Haggerty is coming off a big season at Tulsa in which he averaged 21.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. Those numbers are probably extreme to expect on a talented Memphis team, but clearly he will be amongst the best players in the American. Memphis begins the season on Nov. 9 against UNLV.
