Seton Hall looks for home win vs Georgetown

Seton Hall looks for its sixth straight win over Georgetown at Prudential Center

Limited use in Pirates debutJackson played three minutes off the bench Sunday in Seton Hall's 80-77 overtime loss to Providence, accruing one foul and no other statistics.
ImpactThe Missouri transfer was available to make his Pirates debut Sunday after the NCAA recently granted a blanket waiver to all players who changed schools during the offseason. With head coach Kevin Willard running a tight rotation in the closely-contested conference game, however, Jackson didn't have much of an opportunity to get his feet wet. Jackson could see his role expand a bit as the season rolls along, but since he averaged only 8.1 minutes per game with Missouri in 2019-20, don't expect a huge jump in playing time while he suits up for another high-major program.

Double-doubles vs. Seton HallDuke went off for 18 points (4-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists across 40 minutes in Sunday's 80-77 overtime win over Seton Hall.
ImpactAfter playing no more than 33 minutes in any of his first three games of the season, Duke hasn't fallen below 38 minutes in any of the subsequent four contests and has seen his production tick up accordingly. During that stretch, Duke has averaged 23.3 points on 49.2 percent shooting from the floor while chipping in 5.8 boards, 4.3 assists and 2.3 triples. With backcourt mate Jared Bynum stuck in a major shooting slump to begin the season (27.5 field-goal percentage), expect Duke to once again carry the load for the Friars offensively in Wednesday's matchup with Butler.

A.J. Reeves hits game-winning three in closing seconds to give Providence 80-77 OT win

Shows up in winWatson recorded 23 points (10-16 FG, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes in the 80-77 win over Seton Hall on Sunday.
ImpactWatson once again rose to the occasion in the win Sunday. The center had a season best performance, that was highlighted with a double-double. Watson was phenomenal on the floor going 62 percent and 75 percent from the line. If he can continue these types of performances, there is no reason why Providence does not make leaps in bounds in the conference making a statement along the way.

Leads team in points in winMamukelashvili recorded 17 points (6-16 FG, 1-4 3PT, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 39 minutes in the 70-63 win over Marquette on Thursday.
ImpactMamukelashvili had an underwhelming performance in the win Thursday. The forward surprisingly led Seton Hall in points, but this just shows how unpredictable the Pirates have been so far this season. Typically you do not see your best shooter going under .500 on the night and still leading the team in points. He did manage to string together multiple rebounds and assists, but needs to hammer out his shooting errors. Until he is able to do so, he is hard to rely on when it comes to needing points.
