ImpactMost of Nelson's latest log was not much different from his 2022-23 stats. The big man averaged 10.0 points and 4.8 rebounds across 32 games he played that season. Fewer than five of them were as part of DePaul's starting lineup, so Nelson should not have much problems replicating the aforementioned campaign if his minutes continue to be relatively similar.

Chico Carter - Leads skeleton crewCarter produced 18 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 82-74 loss to Purdue Fort Wayne.

ImpactCarter posted a team-high 18 points while co-leading DePaul in rebounding. Carter averaged 9.8 points on 47.1 percent shooting at South Carolina last season and is a candidate to improve on those numbers with a serious opportunity to step into a large role for DePaul. Incumbent starter Jalen Terry (ankle) remains in a walking boot.
