DNP in exhibition game
Coach Tad Boyle said that Allen (hip) was held out of the exhibition game against Nebraska with an illness, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
Allen did not play at all last season after undergoing hip surgery in September of 2021. He appears to be cleared from that, but is just trying to recover from a minor illness. Allen should be good to go by the time Colorado takes on UC-Riverside in the season opener on Nov. 7.
