Fourth double-double of season Guerrier recorded 27 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-12 FT) and 11 rebounds across 45 minutes during Saturday's overtime win over Buffalo.
Impact Guerrier posted a season-high mark in terms of points, but he has been a reliable presence on both sides of the ball for the Orangemen all year long -- he has four double-doubles out of seven appearances and has scored in double digits in each one of his games so far. Through seven games, the sophomore is averaging 18.0 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest.

Impact Guerrier finished as the second-highest scorer for the Orangemen, but he also pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds as Syracuse improved to 4-0 at home this season. The big man has grabbed 10 or more boards in three of his six games so far in 2020-21, and he is currently averaging 9.7 boards to go along with 16.5 points per game this season. Both are drastic improvements compared to what he did as a freshman in 2019-20.

Impact The fact that Guerrier made a strong impression offensively shouldn't be surprising, as he scored 15 points in the season opener against Bryant, but he did it very efficiently here -- he only missed one shot from the field and one free throw while needing 10 shots from the field to record 23 points. Guerrier has been Syracuse's best player by a wide margin in the Orange's first two games of the season, posting back-to-back double-doubles to lead Syracuse to a 2-0 start.
