Impact The 12 points Dennis posted represented his third highest total in a Big 12 road game this season, where he's averaged 9.6 points in nine games since the start of conference play as opposed to 16.8 in nine home games. Despite the scoring inconsistencies, he's been as consistent as they come in ball distribution, posting at least five assists for the 15th time in the last 16 contests. Dennis closed the Big 12 conference slate with 37.7 minutes, 13.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.6 steals across 18 games. Dennis will play a major role for the Bears during tournament season as they are one of a handful of Big 12 teams with legitimate Final Four aspirations.

Impact Dennis was brilliant Saturday, shooting a season-high 87.5% from the field while matching a season-high with 10 assists to collect his third double-double of the season. It was the eighth consecutive game Dennis has posted at least five assists, accumulating at least eight dimes in six of those games. He also added multiple steals for the fifth time in that same eight-game stretch. While this recent run where he's averaged 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 2.0 steals has been impressive, it's merely a slight uptick over his numbers in conference play, averaging 13.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.7 steals over 37.6 minutes in 16 conference games.

The star guard finished the non-conference season as the team's second-leading scorer and leader in assists. Impact The fifth year senior needed just 24 minutes to complete his sixth career double double and first of the season. After averaging 19.5 points last season, Dennis' scoring output was due to regress with the move from Toledo to Baylor. However, his 13.9 points per game this season is good enough for second on the team. He's also adding a career high in assists (6.6), steals (1.7), field goal percentage (56.0%) and three-point shooting (37.5%).
