Maxwell Lewis - Wins Pepperdine dunk contestLewis (wrist) won the dunk contest for the second consecutive season at Pepperdine's Blue & Orange Madness event Oct. 14, per the team's official site.
ImpactLewis was diagnosed with a season-ending wrist injury in late-February that cut short a freshman campaign in which he averaged 11.0 ppg in just 19.6 mpg. Pepperdine didn't have any official exhibition games scheduled to allow reporters to get a better look at the health of Lewis, but if he's participating in dunk contests, it's likely safe to say the 6-7 wing has gained clearance in advance of the Nov. 7 season opener against Rice.
