ImpactFiedler did his usual work across the top three stat categories and forced a loaded Texas team to overtime. The 6-11 center has been rolling over the last six games, averaging 10.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists on 75.7 percent shooting. Those assist contributions are rare for a center-eligible player. Fiedler is in a great situation with an elite backcourt around him in Quincy Olivari and Travis Evee, who are combining to average nearly 35 PPG.

The senior is absolutely surging right now, averaging 28.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 3.7 three-pointers, and 2.0 steals over the last three games. Olivari will look to stay hot with Conference USA league play drawing ever closer.

ImpactCarr's 28 points were his most since Feb. 27 of 2020 when he scored 41 as a member of Minnesota against Nebraska. This strong performance comes after he failed to score in double figures in back-to-back games. The fifth-year senior will continue to be an integral part of the Longhorn attack going forward. It will be interesting to see how a small backcourt of Carr and Tyrese Hunter handle one of the tallest teams in the country in Stanford on Sunday.
