Impact Following a disappointing campaign, Davis will join Armando Bacot in ditching the draft for another run with UNC. Davis averaged 16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 35.0 minutes as a junior.

The guard will try to redeem himself across the remainder of February, a month in which he will have plenty of opportunities to compensate for North Carolina's inconsistent output across the last three months.

Impact Davis didn't have a high-volume offensive game against the Syracuse zone, but the main takeaway here is that he took a hard, inadvertent elbow to the face on a go-ahead layup attempt late from Syracuse freshman Judah Mintz. Davis was then down on the court for several minutes and was unable to shoot his free throws after the foul was upgraded to a flagrant. The Tar Heels have an extended break ahead and don't play again until hosting Pittsburgh on Feb. 1, which should provide Davis plenty of recovery time, provided he did not suffer any fractures or a concussion.
