Impact Griffen looks close to 100% according to head coach Bill Self and will be available Sunday after sitting out against Duke earlier this week due to illness. The 6-foot-6 junior has appeared in seven games this season (five starts), averaging 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 20 minutes per game while shooting 34.5 percent from three (4.1 attempts per game).

Impact Griffen missed his first game of the season as he dealt with an illness. The junior guard has logged over 15 minutes in every appearance this season. He will aim to be available for Sunday's meeting with Missouri.

Impact Griffen will begin the season as the starting small forward for the Jayhawks. He is coming off a very productive season with Alabama where he started 33 of 36 games and averaged 11.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26.3 minutes per game.

Impact Griffen sat out of the team's first exhibition game against Arkansas last week, but came off the bench and provided an impact with his deadly shooting ability. Shooting was a big issue for Kansas last season, but the addition of Griffen will certainly help them to keep the floor spaced. He came off the bench in this game and only played 16 minutes, but he has a very real opportunity to start at some point as long as he stays locked in on the defensive side of the ball. The Jayhawks will open the regular season on Monday against Howard.
