Josiah Dotzler - Foot injury causes exhibition DNP Dotzler (foot) did not play during Saint Louis' exhibition game Friday against Rockhurst.

Impact According to Stu Durando of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Dotzler's injury status was somewhere between probable and questionable for the Rockhurst game due to a foot sprain. It prevented his participation in Friday's exhibition, something that he hopes will not continue on Oct. 25, when the Billikens are scheduled for another exhibition but against Maryville.

Robbie Avila - Not given OK for exhibition Avila (ankle) did not play during Saint Louis' exhibition game Friday against Rockhurst.

Impact Avila sitting out Saint Louis' latest exhibition was planned, as confirmed by Stu Durando of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. While the junior has been confirmed as "OK" to begin Saint Louis' 2024-25 season, him sitting out preseason action Friday is at least some cause for concern. Perhaps that will be alleviated when the Billikens play their next exhibition, currently scheduled for Oct. 25 against Maryville.

Robbie Avila - Will be OK for 2024-25 opener Avila (ankle) will be "OK" for the beginning of Saint Louis' 2024-25 season, according to David Jablonski of The Dayton Daily News.

Impact Despite Avila being expected to be "sidelined" for multiple weeks, they do not include the week Saint Louis' 2024-25 season is expected to begin, exactly scheduled for a game against Santa Clara on Nov. 4. This means the junior will have an immediate opportunity to show what he can do. There was no sophomore slump for Avila, who instead rose to the occasion by averaging career highs of 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists across his 37 games started.

Robbie Avila - Will be sidelined several weeks Avila suffered a significant lateral ankle sprain and will be sidelined for, at least, a few weeks, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact The extent of the injury hasn't been revealed yet, but if Avila suffered a significant injury, then he might have to spend some time sidelined in order to be ready for the regular-season opener on Nov. 4. This means his status for the exhibition game against Rockhurst on Oct. 18 is in jeopardy.

AJ Casey - Suffers hamstring injury Casey recently suffered a pulled hamstring, according to Stu Durando of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Impact Besides the hamstring being pulled, not much has been publicized about Casey's injury. Fortunately, there are several exhibition games that can be used to potentially clear his injury status, beginning with an Oct. 18 matchup scheduled against Rockhurst.

Robbie Avila - Will undergo scan Saturday Avila will undergo a scan Saturday to determine if he suffered more than an ankle sprain, per Stu Durando of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Impact Avila has suffered some sort of ankle-to-foot injury, confirmed not only by a future scan but also by him recently being seen wearing a protective boot. Best-case scenario, his scan comes out clean before Saint Louis' team hosts Rockhurst for an exhibition on Oct. 18.
