ImpactMassalski didn't need his normal 20-plus minutes per contest to do major damage in his return, notching double-digit boards for the third time in his six appearances. Thursday marked just the sixth appearance for the senior and his first since the calendar flipped to 2021 and he should be a key piece in the rotation moving forward.

ImpactHughes wasn't quite ready to handle a full workload it appears, but he wasn't afraid to shoot, launching seven shots in his 18 minutes on the floor. Assuming he avoided setbacks, the junior should rejoin the starting five and see his minutes expand in short order.

ImpactVrankic bounced back from a three-point performance last game to post a game-high 25 points and a season-high 15 boards for his sixth double-double of the season. It's also the second time in the last three games that he's posted a pair of blocks and steals. Vrankic continues to be the clear go-to-guy for Santa Clara with a team-high 28.3 percent usage rate.
