Impact After a one-game absence for undisclosed reasons, Newman returned to the floor Thursday and played 34 minutes off the bench. He did not attempt a field goal in the game and recorded six assists, his ninth game this season with six or more. Given he played so much in the win, he will likely find himself back in the starting lineup Saturday at New Mexico State.
