Minnesota was down three regular starters in Eric Curry (ankle), Jamison Battle (undisclosed) and E.J. Stephens (undisclosed), so it's possible Sutherlin's sudden minutes uptick will be short-lived, depending on the nature of those injuries. Still, the Gophers managed to get their second conference victory despite being so short-handed, due largely to the individual effort of Payton Willis (32 points).
