Impact Taylor was the second scoring option on the team for most of the season, defaulting to primary ball handler and scorer Ray'Sean Taylor. The junior made an impact in different ways in both games of the OVC Tournament, dishing out five assists in the semifinals despite a cold shooting night and foul trouble. SEMO shot 28 percent from the field, contributing to Taylor's larger rebounding numbers despite being more of a score-first player.

Ring Malith - Seven rebounds in win Malith finished Saturday's 69-48 win over Southeast Missouri State with 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 31 minutes.
Impact Malith, an oversized guard, was the Cougars' leading rebounder for the season and continued to work hard on the glass. The junior averaged 7.2 rebounds per game and finished with six double-doubles in SIU-Edwardsville's charge to the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Impact Taylor is the point guard and leading scorer at 19.3 ppg in his fourth year as a starter for the Cougars. He once again delivered Saturday, leading the scoring charge in a decisive victory over the SEMO -- the OVC regular season champions -- to send SIU-Edwardsville to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
