Impact Young appeared in just eight games last year and has yet to grasp a meaningful role during his team with the Mustangs. The 6-9 forward appears to be in line for a similar role to year's past, meaning he'll likely play sparingly off the bench.

Tristan Clark - Fully cleared, per coach Clark (knee) has been fully cleared for all basketball activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Clark hasn't suited up since the 2019-20 season with Baylor, as the 6-10 forward had previously been considered "medically retired" from basketball due to various injuries. He changed his mind this past April, entering the transfer portal and landing at SMU less than a month after that announcement. Clark showed his ceiling back in 2018-19 with the Bears, posting 14.6 points and 6.3 rebounds while serving as the primary center. That role seems likely to remain with Isiah Jasey for the time being, though Clark could prove to be a valuable depth option in the post.

Impact Davis also shined last Wednesday against Tulsa, collecting 22 points and 10 assists to pick up his fourth double-double of the season. Through 15 games, the junior is third in the entire country with a 7.6 apg average. He's also picked up one or more steal in every game since the calendar turned to 2021. SMU is currently in the outside looking in with respect tot he NCAA Tournament, and any charge into the field of 68 will most certainly be led by Davis.
