Leads way in exhibition game Ball had a game-high 18 points (7-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and an assist in Monday's exhibition win over Rhode Island. Impact Ball was certainly efficient in just 20 minutes of action. He was part of the UConn starting five along with Alex Karaban, Liam McNeeley, Samson Johnson and Hassan Diarra. St. Mary's transfer Aidan Mahaney, who is the most likely candidate to take Ball's starting spot once the season starts, also had a good game scoring 17 points in 23 minutes of action. UConn opens the regular season on Nov. 6 against Sacred Heart.
