Starts, leads team in exhibition Washington had a team-high 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-6 FT) to go along with six rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes in Friday's exhibition victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville. Impact Washington is a three-star freshman with more than enough potential to start for a power-conference team, but it's a bit surprising to see him in this role out of the gates. Physically, he's certainly not built like a freshman, and the 6-7 wing is known as a solid rebounder and finisher around the rim. He's also drawn praise for his shot-blocking, though that wasn't necessarily on display in this exhibition. While the caliber of competition here must be noted, Washington would immediately jump onto the fantasy radar if he carries his starting role into the Nov. 7 opener against Louisiana-Monroe.
