Jordan Hawkins - Apparently in the clearHawkins appears to have avoided another concussion and will be 'fine,' according to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com.
ImpactWhile Hawkins was forced to exit Monday's opener after appearing to fall and land on his head, reports postgame suggesting that while he was still being evaluated, he was not officially placed in concussion protocol. Hawkins does have a bit of a history with head injuries, as he missed the final four games of the 2021-22 season due to a concussion, so the team will likely monitor him carefully. Once cleared, it appears he's gained a starting role. In Monday's start, he was scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting but did pick up three rebounds and two assists in the nine minutes he played before exiting.

Jordan Hawkins - Set to start MondayHawkins (concussion) is listed in the Huskies' starting lineup ahead of Monday's season opener against Stonehill.
ImpactHawkins was unable to participate in UConn's NCAA Tournament after suffering a concussion late last season. Now, the sophomore guard appears set to step up into a bigger role in the 2022-23 campaign, as he started just four of his 27 games played during his freshman season. Hawkins averaged 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds while playing 14.7 minutes per game in 2021-22.
