Impact The starting lineup didn't work in this loss Tuesday for Syracuse, and Cuffe was able to make a huge impact off the bench. The junior guard struggled to see minutes in the early portion of the season but has been playing regularly of late, scoring in double digits in three of his last five contests while averaging 18.6 minutes per contest in that stretch.

Jaquan Carlos - Solid all-around effort in loss Carlos ended Tuesday's 81-71 loss to Wake Forest with 16 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-9 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 33 minutes.

Impact Syracuse didn't look good in this matchup, and in fact, Carlos was the only starter who scored in double digits for the Orange. The floor general has been on a tear of late and has recorded double-digit points in four of his last five appearances.

Syracuse officials still have yet to give an official timeline for his return, but he did get the wrapping removed off his left hand. Starling has not yet been cleared to participate in contact practices yet and it remains unclear when that could get going, though he's been doing activities on the side to stay in shape.
