Shahada Wells - Plays 29 minutes off the bench Wells chipped in seven points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Saturday's 72-68 loss to Baylor. Impact Wells came off the bench after starting each of the previous three games with shooting guard Mike Miles (knee) sidelined. While Miles remained out Saturday, the 6-foot Wells was replaced by 6-foot-5 junior Rondel Walker in the starting five. Nevertheless, the junior guard still played more minutes than the junior wing (15). Wells has now played at least 20 minutes in each of the past seven games for TCU, though he's totaled just nine field-goal attempts while playing 51 minutes across the past two contests after averaging 10.7 points in 33 minutes per game over the previous three outings. With the Horned Frogs seemingly tinkering with their starting rotation, it will be worth monitoring Wells' usage for a better gauge of his value so long as Miles remains out.
