Impact Coles logged a season high in minutes with starting center Eddie Lampkin (ankle) sidelined for the second game in a row. The 6-foot-7 sophomore still came off the bench Saturday, as 6-foot-9 junior Xavier Cork drew the start versus Mississippi State. However, Coles still played 12 more minutes than Cork. Coles logged more than 15 minutes just once in the Horned Frogs' previous eight games, though this prominent playing time Saturday appears to indicate he could be in line for more increased usage so long as Lampkin remains out.

Impact Baugh never left the floor in this back-and-forth thriller. The 6-foot-4 senior has been a mainstay in the Horned Frogs' starting rotation all season, averaging 12.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.1 steals over his previous 14 starts. However, he took on an even larger offensive role versus Mississippi State after team-leading scorer Mike Miles exited with a hyperextended right knee early in the first half. As a result, Baugh attempted a season high 17 field goals and nine three-pointers. While he failed to notch a steal for just the second time this season, the possibility of an increased scoring role so long as Miles remains sidelined should make Baugh an even more valuable fantasy option moving forward. TCU's next game will come versus West Virginia on Tuesday.

Impact Wells saw his most significant usage of the season after starting shooting guard and team-leading scorer Mike Miles exited with a right knee injury four minutes into Saturday's contest. As a result, the 6-foot reserve guard played a season high in minutes, and he also logged double-digit field-goal attempts for the first time since early Decembers. While he went broke from beyond the three-point arc, Wells still finished in double figures while also nabbing four steals for the second time in the past three games. Wells will likely be first in line for increased playing time should Miles sit out Tuesday against West Virginia.

The senior looks done for the day Saturday and could be hard-pressed to make it back for Tuesday's game versus West Virginia.
