Not expected Wednesday James (wrist) isn't going through pregame warmups and isn't expected to play in Wednesday's game against South Carolina, Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinelreports.
Impact Per Wilson, James continues to sport a brace on his left wrist that he was seen wearing following a game against LSU on Saturday. James played through the injury, supplying nine points and six boards across 32 minutes against LSU, but he won't play through it again. Look for Yves Pons and Keon Johnson to see a bit more time with James out. James' next chance to suit up is in Saturday's game against Kentucky.

Impact Springer continued his fantastic overall play recently with another 20-point and-four assist outing, his third straight one. Since posting just to points against Ole Miss on Feb. 2, Springer has been on fire averaging 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 50 percent from three over his past three games.

Impact Vescovi knocked down three threes while recording double figures for a second straight contest, as the sophomore recently snapped a streak of seven games scoring under nine points. Over 19 starts with the Volunteers this year, Vescovi is averaging 9.2 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Impact Pons may still be just a bit rusty after missing a Feb. 10 contest against Georgia due to an ankle injury. John Fulkerson ended up seeing the most frontcourt minutes off the bench (34), but turned that into just four points and five rebounds. Pons could see a chance to bounce back this week in an up-tempo matchup against South Carolina, as he put up 13 points and seven rebounds against the Gamecocks last February.
