ImpactNembhard has seemingly conceded starting duties to star freshman Jalen Suggs, but the Florida transfer is still averaging 30.3 mpg off the bench through three games. His ball-handling ability was especially needed in this contest after Suggs went down with what appeared to be a serious lower-leg injury. Nembhard took over the offense, and even after Suggs returned, the duo shared the court to great success with a guard-heavy lineup. If Suggs ends up limited in any way by this injury, Nembhard would benefit, but it seems as if his role is relatively secure even with Suggs in the lineup.

Leads Gonzaga to victoryAyayi had 21 points (10-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and four steals across 33 minutes in Wednesday's victory over West VIrginia.
ImpactAyayi now has a 20-point game under his belt after accomplishing that just twice last season, but where he really shines is on the defensive end. He already has seven steals in three games, in addition to seven or more rebounds in each contest. With Drew Timme and Anton Watson in foul trouble Wednesday (both eventually fouled out), Ayayi's rebounding efforts were vital against a tough West Virginia front line. Gonzaga still lost the total rebounding by five, but still came away victorious by five points.
