Langston Love - Records four assistsLove (hip) totaled seven points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Saturday's 89-62 win over Texas Tech.
ImpactSurprisingly, Love did not have to log any absences because of his previous injury. More surprisingly, he recorded four assists during his return game. Love had not recorded more than three assists across Baylor's nine games from Dec. 31 to Jan. 28, a span during which the freshman averaged 17.4 minutes.

Flo Thamba - Plays 18 minutes in blowout winThamba supplied nine points (3-4 FG, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 18 minutes during Saturday's 89-62 victory over Texas Tech.
ImpactThamba played between 22 to 28 minutes in each of the previous six contests, though this decreased run didn't impact his overall production as he actually supplied a season-high four assists. It's unclear if the 6-foot-10 senior's playing time was altered by the lopsided final score or the return of fellow senior center Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua, the latter of whom played 14 minutes while making his season debut after a year-long recovery from knee surgery. Thamba averaged just 20.4 minutes while playing alongside Tchamwa Tchatchoua for much of last year, so it will be worth monitoring how Baylor splits their opportunities moving forward.

Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua - Four boards in returnTchamwa Tchatchoua notched eight points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and four rebounds across 14 minutes during Saturday's 89-62 win over Texas Tech.
ImpactTchamwa Tchatchoua made his season debut off the bench after recovering from offseason knee surgery undergone in February of 2022. The 6-foot-8 senior played about seven fewer minutes than his season average from the 2021-22 campaign, though his production did appear to have any drop off in his return. Tchamwa Tchatchoua also maintained his efficiency as a scorer from last season when he converted 67.7 percent of his 5.2 field-goal attempts per game. Now that he's healthy again, Tchamwa Tchatchoua appears set to take on a primary reserve role behind starting forwards Jalen Bridges and Flo Thamba.

Lamar Washington - Team-high five assistsWashington totaled seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one block in 29 minutes during Saturday's 89-62 loss to Baylor.
ImpactWashington made just his second start of the season for the Red Raiders, as point guard Pop Isaacs sat out his third game in a row with an ankle injury. As a result, the freshman reserve played at least 26 minutes for the second game in a row while also narrowly pacing the team in assists during yet another blowout loss for Texas Tech. Washington has averaged 3.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists while playing an average of 15.5 minutes per contest. Therefore, it's likely his production will still remain relatively limited even if he does continue to start Wednesday at Oklahoma State.
FEBRUARY 4, 2023ROTOWIRE
Daniel Batcho - Plays 12 minutes off the benchBatcho contributed two points (1-1 FG), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 12 minutes during Saturday's 89-62 loss to Baylor.
ImpactBatcho was active for Saturday's game despite sustaining a knee injury in Monday's loss to Iowa State. However, he did not fulfill his usual spot in the starting lineup, and he was limited to his fewest minutes since the game against the Cyclones. In the eight games prior to his injury, Batcho averaged just 6.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. Therefore, it's likely the France native will continue to put up limited production even if he does return to the starting lineup in place of injured center Fardaws Aimaq (foot). Texas Tech's next game will come against Oklahoma State on Wednesday.

Jaylon Tyson - Double-double in defeatTyson finished Saturday's 89-62 loss to Baylor with 19 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes.
ImpactTyson posted his third double-double of the season as the Red Raiders were once resoundingly defeated by a Big 12 opponent. Texas Tech is now 1-9 against its conference opponents, though the 6-foot-7 sophomore has been one of the team's most consistent players during this span. Tyson has averaged 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds to go along with 1.5 steals and 1.8 assists in conference play. He still isn't producing at the same top-end scoring as fellow forward Kevin Obanor, though Tyson's consistency on the boards still makes him a rather solid game-to-game option in Texas Tech's starting lineup.
