KJ Allen - DNP at Iowa StateAllen (leg) did not play during Texas Tech's 84-50 loss Tuesday at Iowa State.
ImpactDespite him warming up again Tuesday, Allen's injured leg required a multi-game absence. The team plays against and at Texas on Saturday. That day is Allen's next opportunity to return, which should be probable.

Daniel Batcho - Plays 32 minutes in returnBatcho ended with four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 84-50 loss to Iowa State.
ImpactBatcho struggled to contribute for Texas Tech, logging just four points, three rebounds, and three blocks during Tuesday's loss to Iowa State. The 6-foot-11 sophomore has started in 12 games this season, logging 11.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.1 blocks on 27.4 minutes per game. Batcho, who has averaged just four points and six rebounds across his last three appearances, will look to get back on track against Texas on Saturday.

Fardaws Aimaq - Return timetable updatedAimaq (foot) is hopefully "playing in the next couple of games" according to head coach Mark Adams, Carlos Silva Jr. of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
ImpactAimaq was expected to be a major contributor to Texas Tech as one of the top center transfers in the country after averaging a double-double with Utah Valley State a season ago. His season hit a major roadblock before it even began, however, as a foot injury has prevented him for suiting up for a single contest. He then had to shut down a whirlwind of transfer rumors, but now it finally appears as if he's nearing a return. The Red Raiders need it badly after getting blown out by Iowa State on Tuesday to fall to 0-4 in Big 12 play. Rebounding has been one of the main issues, as Texas Tech is in the conference's bottom-3 with respect to defensive rebounding rate -- an issue the 6-11 center's return would immediately address.

Pop Isaacs - Struggles in returnIsaacs supplied 10 points (3-13 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 84-50 loss to Iowa State.
ImpactIsaacs converted just 3-of-13 shots, finishing with 10 points and three steals during his return on Tuesday. The 6-foot-2 freshman, who suffered a concussion last week, was inefficient in his return on Tuesday. Isaacs has started in 15 games this season, logging 11.2 points, two rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals on 28.3 minutes per game. Isaacs and Red Raiders will look to back on track when they face off with Texas on Saturday.

Gabe Kalscheur - Logs another splash performanceKalscheur supplied 25 points (10-14 FG, 5-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 84-50 victory over Texas Tech.
ImpactKalscheur continued his increased production since stepping up into a starting role with forward Aljaz Kunc (finger) sidelined. The senior guard has now averaged 18.0 points by converting 54 percent of his 12.5 field-goal attempts per game during four Big 12 contests. His increased playing time during this span (35.5 minutes per game) has led him to take 3.0 more field-goal attempts and 0.9 more three-point tries than he did over the first 11 games of the season. While Kalscheur has still been a streaky shooter from beyond the arc, his 12.5 field-goal attempts and 6.3 three-point tries per contest should continue to net a consistent scoring role alongside Jaren Holmes.
