Impact Sylla had started UFC's last two games with C.J. Walker (undisclosed) sidelined, though the sophomore center will return to the bench with Omar Payne rejoining the starting five. Sylla is averaging 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 15.7 minutes this season.

Impact Sylla had been part of a large frontcourt tandem with Omar Payne, with the duo starting each of the last 11 contests for UCF. He sat out entirely Thursday, however, as the team featured a smaller-ball lineup with DeMarr Langford returning to the starting five. Machelus Avery and Ibrahima Diallo also saw some additional run in Sylla's stead. It's unclear if the 6-11 sophomore will be cleared in advance of UCF's next game, which lands Dec. 29 against Bethune-Cookman.

Impact Sylla reached double figure scoring for the second time this season, tying his season high of 10 points in Saturday's win. His six rebounds matched his season high as well, grabbing a pair of offensive rebounds on top of the total. Sylla has seen an increase in minutes over his last two appearances, averaging 18.0 minutes, compared to his season average of 7.0 minutes per game.

Scores 10 points off bench Sylla registered 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and two blocks over 19 minutes during Wednesday's 76-56 victory over Evansville.

Impact Sylla tallied his first double-figure scoring game in Wednesday's win. The freshman center's 19 minutes more than doubled his typical playing time. Sylla has entered off the bench in four games for the Knights this season, putting up a very efficient 61.5 percent from the field. Though he may not see a large role this season, Sylla has a chance to become a key piece for the Knights in the future as he continues to develop his game.
