ImpactSpencer had started five of the first six games Tulane has played this year, so while there was no report of an injury ever relayed, his absence from the starting five was the first clue that something was potentially amiss. Without his services, freshman Tylan Pope drew the start at power forward, but only played eight minutes in the contest. Fellow freshman Sion James ultimately moved over to the four in a small-ball lineup, which could provide a clue to the alignment if Spencer misses any more time.
