Sniffs triple-double in OT loss Appleby finished with 19 points (6-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals across 41 minutes during Sunday's 77-75 OT loss to Loyola Marymount.

Impact Another game, another outing in which Appleby ends up as one of Wake Forest's best players. His shooting percentages left a lot to be desired since he needed 16 shots just to score 19 points, but on the other hand, he only ended just two boards and two assists from posting a triple-double. Through five games with the program, Appleby has already blossomed into a star and is averaging 19.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.

Shines offensively once again Appleby had 23 points (8-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 75-63 win over La Salle.

Impact Appleby has been one of Wake Forest's best players this season and the numbers back that up, as he's now scored at least 22 points in three games in a row. Given how hot he's been as a scorer, his role as one of the team's go-to guys shouldn't be under any threat.

Impact Appleby started the season with eight points in the opener, but he's looked excellent in the last two games with 20 or more points in both contests. He's doing more than just scoring, though, and he's averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in his first three contests with the program.

Impact Appleby didn't have his best game in the season opener with only eight points across 26 minutes, but he bounced back admirably here and was one of Wake Forest's top performers since he also managed to put up decent passing and rebounding numbers. It's only been two games, but he should form an intriguing backcourt partnership alongside Daivien Williamson.

Impact Appleby was a nice pickup for Wake Forest. The 6-1 points guard averaged 10.9 points, 3.6 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.2 steals per contest last season with Florida. Appleby already seems to have a good feel for the offense and should be relied on heavily for a team losing Alondes Williams, Jake LaRavia, and Isaiah Mucius.
