Gets waiver The NCAA approved Brewer's request for a waiver Tuesday, making him immediately eligible to compete at East Tennessee State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports. Impact Brewer left Southeastern Louisiana shortly after the 2019-20 season ended and committed to East Tennessee State in March, but since he had yet to earn his degree, he needed to petition the NCAA for a waiver in order to play in 2020-21. With the NCAA looking favorably on his case, Brewer should now provide an immediate boost to his new school. He was a standout performer for Southeastern Louisiana as a sophomore last season, averaging 14.9 points, 7.7 boards, 1.5 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 32.2 minutes per game over his 31 appearances.
