Impact Among 10 Rutgers players who participated in Thursday's game, Acuff logged the fewest minutes. But according to Jerry Carino of The Asbury Park Press, the redshirt senior's previously fractured foot played a big part in his limited playing time against St. John's. He recently recovered and underwent only one week of team practices before participating in the exhibition. So while Acuff's three-minute log is concerning, limited playing time may not be a regular occurrence during Rutgers' 2024-25 season. But now, the question is how much of this campaign's early portion will include him.

But according to an earlier article by Fonseca, Acuff anticipates being ready for the 2024-25 Knights' first game, currently scheduled for Nov. 6 against Wagner.
