Nearly recovered from stomach bug Walker is nearing a full recovery from a recent stomach bug, Kyle Austin of MLive.com reports.

Impact Currently, Walker is suffering from a minor illness he had during Michigan State's previous game at Indiana. Still, he was able to record eight points on 4-of-7 shooting and take on a relatively-full workload, logging 33 minutes. With that all in mind, his status does not appear to be in jeopardy for Thursday's contest versus Iowa.

Logs 30 points vs. Purdue Walker logged 30 points (12-23 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds across 37 minutes during the Spartans' 64-63 loss Monday versus Purdue.

Impact Gabe Brown, Marcus Bingham and Max Christie were the 2021-22 Spartans' best scorers. They graduated or waived collegiate eligibility before November. Since that month, Walker has been the Spartans' best scorer as a regular part of their starting lineup. He averaged 14.8 points across his 18 games started in between Nov. 6 and Jan. 17. Already, 2023 is expected to be the junior's best year of collegiate basketball. Walker averaged 21.7 points across his first three games at East Lansing.
