Mike Mitchell - Uneven performance in winMitchell logged 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, three assists, one block and one steal across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 72-67 victory over UC Davis.
ImpactMitchell only missed one shot attempt in the win as one of four Pepperdine starters in double figures. He was unable to keep the ball on the Waves side, however, committing a whopping seven turnovers as the freshman showed signs of his youth. Through four games he's averaging 35 minutes, as he's being thrown into a starting role right away without much depth on an inexperienced Pepperdine squad.
