Impact Riley figures to retake his spot in the starting lineup as a result, presumably moving Kenneth Nwuba into a bench role once again. Riley has been a key piece for the Bruins this season, averaging 10.6 points and 6.0 boards per game. Those numbers inflate slightly to 11.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest over the last five.

Impact Hill is currently taking a leave of absence for personal reasons and does not have a timetable for return. Expecting a return by Saturday against Washington seems very dicey. We'll have to wait to hear more from coach Mick Cronin.

Logs 27 minutes in UCLA debut Etienne had eight points (4-5 FG, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, two blocks and a steal across 27 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 66-48 loss to USC.

Impact The UCLA frontcourt has been devastated by injuries of late, as pro prospect Chris Smith is out for the year with a torn ACL, while Jalen Hill (personal) and Cody Riley (ankle) were also unavailable for this contest. While it was Kenneth Nwuba who got the start, Etienne was the more effective fantasy player in what was his season debut for the Bruins. The 19-year-old is an early enrollee with the Bruins after the pandemic cancelled his prep season in New Hampshire, and with the NCAA not counting this season for eligibility purposes, UCLA has nothing to lose by getting him in the mix early. According to the report, Etienne could even draw the start Thursday against Washington if Riley is again unable to go, but it seems like minutes will be there for him regardless of Riley's health.
