Dante Maddox - Chips in 14 off benchMaddox had 14 points (5-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), one rebound, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Saturday's 76-72 win over UConn.
ImpactMaddox was held scoreless in two of three games leading up to Saturday, but the senior continues to play tremendously well against UConn this season. He logged 22 points in a loss back on Dec. 18, but was the leading reserve scorer in the victory here. Despite being a worthwhile X-factor for a hot Xavier team, the production likely isn't consistent enough to crack the fantasy radar.

Zach Freemantle - Leads balanced attackFreemantle accumulated 15 points (5-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Saturday's 76-72 win over UConn.
ImpactDon't look now, but Xavier has won four of five games, including key, resume-building victories over Marquette and UConn. While four players were in double figures Saturday, Freemantle has been the primary spark in this run. Since missing three games in December with a lower-body injury, the senior center is averaging 15.9 ppg and 7.0 rpg across seven games in January. He leads the Musketeers in both scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.4 rpg) on the year. Next up is another tough road matchup against Creighton on Wednesday.

Samson Johnson - Five blocks in lossJohnson closed with 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 31 minutes during Saturday's 76-72 loss to Xavier.
ImpactWhile not typically a big offensive producer, Johnson set a season high with 14 points last Tuesday against Butler and followed it up with another double-digit scoring effort Saturday. He's also recorded a combined nine rejections over the last two contests, bringing his season-long average up to 1.7 bpg.

Solo Ball - Logs first double-doubleBall finished with 20 points (6-17 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists in 39 minutes during Saturday's 76-72 loss to Xavier.
ImpactWhile the Huskies have lost three of five, and Ball's shooting wasn't particularly efficient here, the sophomore guard did post a season-best rebounding total en route to his first double-double of the year. The stage is now set for a favorable bounce-back matchup at home against DePaul on Wednesday.
