Impact While Jackson's stat line would fly for the vast majority of players in college basketball, it likely wasn't the debut he was looking for after averaging nearly 27 points per game a season ago. He figures to pick up the pace as the season rolls along and should work his way back into the starting five reasonably soon.

Expected to return Saturday Jackson (suspension) is expected to return for Saturday's game against UT-Grand Rio Valley, Greg Luca of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Impact Jackson was suspended two games to begin the year due to a violation of team rules. Even though Wednesday's season opener was postponed, coach Steve Henson said Friday that he expects that Jackson will return to the court Saturday after missing just one contest. The senior should play a prominent role for the Roadrunners when he returns after tallying 26.8 points per game last season, the second-best mark in the nation.

Impact This is a massive loss for the Roadrunners with a non-conference matchup against Oklahoma scheduled for the Wednesday opener -- one they were already sizable underdogs in. Jackson was the second-leading scorer in the nation last season (26.8 ppg), with a shot rate approaching 40 percent. WIthout him, UTSA will have to lean heavily on Keaton Wallace for offense, with contributions from post players Jacob Germany and Luka Barisic needed as well. Jackson is expected to return Saturday against UT-Grand Rio Valley.
