Nate Watson - Ties season-high point totalWatson produced 24 points (10-12 FG, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 68-58 victory over Vermont.
ImpactWatson demonstrated elite scoring capability early on, muscling for position down low and hitting turnaround jumpers off the dribble. He scored six points in the first three minutes of play to help Providence rocket out to an 11 point lead before the Catamounts scored once. Despite drawing double teams a majority of the night Watson didn't slow down, he went into halftime with 15 points. He then came out in the second half and used the attention he commanded to open up opportunities for teammates. The senior was coming off of two games where he ended up in foul trouble early and he failed to reach 10 points. Unhindered by the past, he will look to continue dominating the court against the Blue Devils on Saturday.
