Zack Austin - Huge day on the glassAustin totaled nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 14 rebounds, five blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 79-64 victory over Virginia Tech.
ImpactAustin has largely been a fantasy afterthought this season due to his secondary role in the offense, but the junior wing put up his best rebounding total of the season while also defending the rim with five rejections. His extra run here did at least appear to be a bit matchup-related, so this performance may not necessarily be indicative of a sudden turnaround for the fantasy playoffs.

Sean Pedulla - Puts up 26 in defeatPedulla contributed 26 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 11-13 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Saturday's 79-64 loss to Pittsburgh.
ImpactPedulla was an afterthought offensively earlier this week in a tough matchup against Virginia, as he put up his lowest scoring total since December. The team's leading scorer at 15.6 ppg, Pedulla was back in a big way Saturday, though it wasn't enough to get the Hokies over the hump. Virginia Tech falls to 7-9 in conference play -- good for 10th in the league entering Sunday -- and appears to currently be on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Robbie Beran - Just a role playerBeran accumulated four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and four rebounds over 25 minutes during Saturday's 79-64 loss to Pittsburgh.
ImpactBeran put up his second-best scoring total of the year earlier this week against a tough defensive team in Virginia, but even with that spot on the game log, he's still averaging just 5.4 ppg over his last five. The fifth-year senior is producing his lowest scoring average (5.0 ppg) since the 2020-21 season with Northwestern, but at least his efficiency is up, as a field-goal percentage of 46.8 is awfully close to a career-best mark. The 6-9 forward simply isn't asked to do as much offensively with Virginia Tech.
