Impact Edgecombe (hamstring) returned from a one-game hiatus to fill up the boxscore Monday. Edgecombe did not connect on any of his three-point attempts but was perfect from inside the arc and continued to serve as a menace on the defensive end, matching a season high with four steals and marking the eighth time in eight games he posted at least one steal and one block. Most importantly, despite the result of the contest never really being in doubt, the star freshman played 30 minutes, an encouraging sign that his gimpy hamstring should be in good shape moving forward.

Impact Edgecombe continues to show why he was such a highly-coveted recruit in posting a season-high 17 points. However, the five-star freshman's more impressive performance came on the defensive end, adding four steals and three blocks. Edgecombe struggled in his first game against Gonzaga but in the three game since, he's averaged 13.7 points, 7.7 boards, 4.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. He is already proving to be a star all over the court and fantasy managers and college basketball fans will have to enjoy it while they can as Edgecombe is likely to be one-and-done in Waco.

After converting on just 21.7% from the field over his first two games, the five-star freshman wing hit on 66.7% of his nine shots while posting his first career double-double. While the scoring is starting to come around, the rest of his numbers through three games verify his status as a future lottery pick as the youngster is averaging 9.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks across 31.3 minutes.

Struggles in debut Edgecombe registered four points (2-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 29 minutes during Monday's 101-63 loss to Gonzaga.

Impact Edgecombe had a highlight-reel dunk late once the game was well out of reach but struggled mightily otherwise as the Bears were blown out by Gonzaga. He added three turnovers to go along with his poor shooting performance, though better days are certain to be ahead for the five-star freshman.
