Damari Monsanto - Done for 2022-23 campaignWake Forest coach Steve Forbes announced Thursday that Monsanto has a torn left patella tendon and will undergo season-ending surgery, Conor O'Neill of Rivals.com reports.

ImpactMonsanto sustained this injury midway through Wednesday's 90-74 loss to NC State, which marked his 21st start of the season. The 6-foot-6 senior will now look to heal up in time before the start of the 2023-24 campaign. Over 27 appearances, Monsanto averaged 13.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. In his absence, Lucas Taylor and/or Bobi Kintman could be in line for increased roles moving forward.
